2-Inch Connection: These Hi-Temperature Unions are made for 2 Inch PVC pipe. The threaded end is designed to fit into a 2-inch female threaded pool pump
Installation: Simply apply a joint stick or Teflon tape to the black threaded end of the union and rotate the union onto the pool pump. Give a tight turn once you’ve come to the end of the rotation to ensure a snug fit.
Taking Pump Out: When needing to remove your pool pump, simply untighten the union from the back ribbed nut and the pump will separate.
